About this Course

At IPT Excel School, the Power BI – Data Visualization module is designed to help students master the art of presenting data in a clear, interactive, and insightful way. The session begins with an introduction to the Power BI interface and its built-in visualization tools such as bar charts, line charts, pie charts, tables, matrices, cards, and maps. Students are taught how to select the right visual based on the type of data and the story they want to tell—whether it's showing comparisons, trends over time, or proportions.

A strong focus is placed on customization and formatting to create professional-looking dashboards. This includes working with titles, legends, colors, data labels, themes, and conditional formatting. Students also learn how to add interactivity through slicers and filters, enabling users to explore data dynamically. Advanced topics like drill-down, drill-through, and tooltips are also covered to enhance the user experience.

Throughout the course, practical examples and real-world datasets are used to build dashboards such as sales reports, employee trackers, and customer feedback summaries. Students are encouraged to participate in live dashboard-building sessions, apply what they've learned, and complete small assignments after each class. Special attention is given to helping students understand how to import and use custom visuals from AppSource for more advanced needs.

The goal is to ensure every learner can confidently create a complete dashboard from raw Excel data and present it in a business-ready format using Power BI. This hands-on approach, combined with weekly challenges and real-life scenarios, makes the learning experience at IPT Excel School both effective and engaging.
